Cornwall Farmers celebrates 2nd Anniversary with launch of new
John Deere tractors.
13 April 2007
The recently held Open Evening at Cornwall Farmers’ Ludgvan,
Penzance branch was considered a huge success by Andrew Nicholas,
Machinery Sales Representative for Cornwall Farmers. As well as
the launch of the new 30 Series John Deere tractors, along with
new mowers and sprayers, the evening also marked the second anniversary
of the Machinery division moving from Praze to the present site
at Ludgvan, Penzance.
“There were several reasons why the move was important”
stated Andrew Nicholas, “firstly to improve staff working
conditions, maintain standards required to run a John Deere Dealership,
increase volumes and market share of the complete range of power
units and ancillary machines, achieve greater levels of customer
care in terms of pre-sales and after-sales and to give our members
and customers the facility in West Cornwall for a ‘one-stop-shop,
which you will all agree that these objectives have been met and
exceeded.”
As well as the Cornwall Farmers’ Machinery Team, members
of staff from John Deere were present at the launch. The new tractor
range from John Deere builds on the solid performing 20 Series
Tractors and included the introduction of the 6030 & 7030
tractor ranges which provide a high horse power, low weight tractor
for ultimate performance in PTO and road use. The improvements
include improved comfort, visibility, hydraulic controls (ergonomics)
and electronics plus a new engine design which increases productivity
and fuel economy and can boost power by 25hp when it is most required.
With over 100 pasties and saffron buns served throughout the
evening, everyone agreed it had been an enjoyable as well as productive
evening.
