Working together to bridge the gap

12th October 2007

A Beef & Sheep Farmers Guide to Survival!

The impact of unprecedented cereal prices could be massive on the livestock sector. This scenario is encouraging livestock farmers to think more than ever about how to reduce all production costs. To help livestock farmers explore ways of achieving cost reduction through collaboration and technical efficiency, Cornwall Farmers and EFFP are holding a workshop on the 23rd October starting at 7.00pm at Trethorne Leisure Centre, near Launceston, Cornwall.

This free evening is aimed specifically at all livestock farmers and will explore practical ways that producers can achieve significant savings in production costs through machinery and labour sharing and add value to farm output based around real life cases with videos of farmers working together. The evening will also allow producers to learn about how they can feed livestock cost effectively this autumn and winter.

Cornwall Farmers and EFFP are grateful for support from Duchy College Vocational Training Scheme and for sponsorship from HSBC.
