Cornwall Farmers Win Customer Care Award For Second Year Running
9th December 2009
Andy Hawken, Cornwall Farmers Technical Ruminant Specialist, has won the prestigious Intervet/Schering-Plough Customer Care Award at this year’s Over-the-Counter Awards 2009.
Andy, who specialises in ruminant nutrition has also been able to advise on animal health issues since gaining his SQP qualification in 2008, was delighted to win this esteemed award.
“I was surprised to be nominated for the award, let alone win it!” exclaimed Andy. “I feel passionately about the agricultural community and take great pride in my job; I always put my customers first.”
This was the second year running that someone from the Cornwall Farmers team has won the Customer Care award, with Kingsbridge based, Hannah Storey winning last year.
“We were delighted that Andy won the award,” remarked Nigel Weaver, Group Sales Manager for Cornwall Farmers. “This award highlights our focus on serving and developing relationships with our members and customers.”
The third annual Over-the-Counter Awards event was held at the prestigious Macdonald Spa in Bath and saw over 100 guests from across the industry – including AHDA, AMTRA and NOAH, manufacturers, SQPs and store buyers – join together to celebrate and award best practice across country stores, agricultural merchants, pet stores and saddlers.
