New dairy blends from Cornwall Farmers helps this year's silage

Cornwall Farmers has announced the launch of a special range of blended feeds for milk producers to help solve the problems encountered in forage caused by the consistent rain this past summer. The Supreme Match 2008 range, developed by Cornwall Farmers, has the flexibility to assist production when being fed with this season's feedstuffs.

"Our aim is to support farmers in the region address their specific production needs. We have developed a range of blended rations and other supplementary products to alleviate the issues being encountered on farm now," said Tom Mann, Cornwall Farmers' Duchy Blends Manager.

"Through talking to farmers and analysing their forage results, we are able to assess what is required to formulate a balanced and productive ration for the winter period and have developed the Supreme Match 2008 range to achieve this. To ensure farmers are feeding their animals to their full potential, it has never been a more opportune time to discuss their feeding regime with our Cornwall Farmers sales representatives."

Based on the already successful Supreme range, Supreme Match 2008 is manufactured in the south west and is available in bulk, from deliveries of three tonnes upwards. Each delivery is backed up by Cornwall Farmers' nutritional and technical support to ensure that all feed supplies continue to produce the best results for each farmer.

"Poor quality forage due to inclement weather is a common story this year but it's not the end of the story. There are very real steps that can be taken now to start making headway again and, as always, we are making a concerted effort to make sure that everyone is aware of what we can do to help," added Tom Mann.
