Cornwall Farmers Offers Extended Credit on Pre-Season Servicing

22nd November 2007

Cornwall Farmers has launched a special Pre-Season Service Offer to mark the arrival of a new After Sales Manager for their machinery operations.

Under the new service initiative, customers with combine harvesters, balers and foragers will receive ninety days credit for all machinery serviced in December, and sixty days credit on items serviced in January and February 2008.

"We have listened to what is best for our customers, many of whom do not have their most buoyant cash flow at this time of the year," says David Welsh, Cornwall Farmers' new Machinery After Sales Manager. "We have introduced this offer to help everyone ensure that their machinery is in the best of condition for the busy months ahead."

In addition to setting up the new Pre-Season Service, Mr Welsh's role will be to help integrate the two distinct Cornwall Farmers' Service and Parts operations. This approach has been identified as being an important step in providing customers with a more responsive and faster after-sales service across the whole of the organisation's operating region.

"Putting one new manager in charge of both Service and Parts departments will really help us to provide an even better service to our machinery customers," says Mr Welsh, who spent eleven years working for a major national food distributor before joining Cornwall Farmers. "My key role is to oversee these two departments and in time I look forward to being out and about meeting customers regularly on-site to ensure that everything is running smoothly with all new deliveries."

In order to make use of the new Pre Season Service Offer, customers of Cornwall Farmers are requested to contact their nearest Cornwall Farmers Service Department, at either Penzance, Roche or Callington.

Cornwall Farmers is one of the largest and most successful agricultural co-operatives in the United Kingdom. The organisation trades across the entire south west peninsula in four main business areas which combine the farming and food industries with the outdoor life of the West Country's rural communities.
