MAINTAIN YOUR HORSES’ CONDITION WITH THE CORRECT FEED

FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST

It's that time of year again when we need to start thinking about feeding for winter.

Fibre is a vital part of any horse's diet and plenty of forage should be fed at all times. Alfa A is a great fibre provider and with added Biotin, is also good for conditioning the feet. If your horse lacks shine and needs a bit of condition then Alfa A Oil is for you. With extra oil it's a sure fire way of getting your horse looking his best and feeling great.

Cornwall Farmers SuperCool range of horse feeds is made exclusively for us by Saracen Horse Feeds supported by the Kentucky Research Centre. If your horse needs a bit of help keeping weight on or is in hard work then why not try our Conditioning Cubes. With Soya Bean Meal, Molasses and Yea-Sacc, these slow release energy cubes will have your horse looking super shiny with great topline whilst also keeping a cool head.

For equines in light/medium work then our SuperCool mix is for you. It is a good quality mix that will give your horse plenty of energy to work while still maintaining good condition, a staple diet for any yard!

Equines that seem to live on fresh air should try our Fibre Cubes to keep them happy and satisfied. A good low energy feed for all good 'doers' that can also be fed as a hay replacement. Try soaking them in a mash if you older horse has trouble eating.

Finally, don't forget to make sure your horse has clean fresh water available at all times and feed little and often, ideally 2-3 feeds a day. But the best advice is to come in to any of your Cornwall Farmers Country Stores (www.cornwallfarmers.co.uk) and talk to our fully trained staff who can advise you on any feed questions you may have.
