Cornwall Farmers are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Robin Hawkey in the position of Feed and Forage Technical Manager.

Cornwall Farmers, with comprehensive product ranges, offer technology suitable for each individual farm circumstance, ensuring that science is translated into on farm profitability".
Nigel Weaver, Cornwall Farmers' Divisional Manager for Feed & Forage, remarked "Having Robin join us is great news for our member's and customer's. Robin will be based in Cornwall and his role will fall into four main functions. By far, the greatest part of his time will be spent on farm. Thereafter his role will include;
- The provision of technical leadership to the Feed and Forage Sales team,
- Liaison with the research & development and market intelligence resources within our supplier base and academic institutions,
- Offering technical guidance to the company's marketing and PR functions."
Robin obtained his Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry at Nottingham University in conjunction with Unilever Research. After lecturing in Animal Science and Production at Harpers Adams University College for three years, Robin returned to Cornwall with BOCM PAULS in 1996, progressing through the sales functions to the position of Regional Sales Manager. He comes to Cornwall Farmers from Biotal where, as Regional Nutritionist, he once again has provided high level nutritional advice to farmers in the region, particularly focussing on maximising forage utilisation. Robin continues to be involved in the family farm.
